FieldTrack: know where your field team is and what got done

What is FieldTrack?

FieldTrack by OneLedger™ is field workforce software for companies whose staff spend the day on the road: sales and marketing teams, distributors, agro-input, pharma and FMCG companies, and service teams. Employees start and end their day from the FieldTrack app with GPS, visit the places assigned to them and record each visit with notes, an outcome and geotagged photos. Managers see the team on a live map and get a clear report of where each person went and what they did.

How the tracking works

Location is recorded only between Start day and End day, and a notification stays visible on the phone while tracking is on. The app saves every action on the phone first, so check-ins, visits and photos still work in areas with poor network and are uploaded later with the real time they happened. On the server, FieldTrack turns the GPS points into a route analysis for each employee and day: distance travelled, stops and how long they lasted, moving versus stopped time, periods with no GPS signal and planned versus actual visits.

Routes and visits

Managers save customers, dealers, farms or sites with a GPS position and a geofence radius, group them into routes (beats) and assign them to employees for chosen dates or repeating weekdays. FieldTrack can arrange the stops nearest-first from a starting point. At each stop the employee checks in, and FieldTrack records the distance from the place and whether they were inside the geofence. Photos are stamped with date, time, GPS position, employee and place.

Attendance and reports

Shifts, week offs, late marks, half days, leave requests, attendance corrections and holidays are handled in one place, with a monthly attendance register and CSV exports for attendance and visits. Businesses can add their own logo, app name and colours to the employee app.
